Aidan College will organise its first event of the year around the Villars Vanguard Jazz Orchestra.
This ensemble of enthusiastic musicians of all ages from the Villars region made their debut in December 2006 at the Montreux Palace, followed by a concert in February 2007 in Villars itself, meeting a tremendous success.
The Villars Vanguard is famous in the region not only for their talent but also because the musicians all share the same pleasure in performing engaging and spiritual music, both demanding and pleasant.
The ensemble is characterised by its rigour, its fun-filled performances and its ambition to present a quality show without pretentiousness.
As cosmopolitan as the village they come from, the Villars Vanguard is composed of 20 musicians from various nationalities and has created a completely bilingual ensemble led by Christian Rudaz.
They will be performing for Aidan College students and the inhabitants of Lavey-Village in a free concert that will give everyone the opportunity to meet for a relaxing afternoon filled with good music and spirit.
